I am delighted to welcome you to the Falkland Islands Community School where we are committed to providing our pupils an outstanding education that allows them to be successful in their future lives.
Our core values of Respect, Resilience and Curiosity underpin all that we do at FICS and we expect our staff and pupils to commit to developing in these areas, to support their future successes.
The environment of the Falkland Islands and Stanley is truly unique and FICS plays an important role in shaping the lives of the communities young people. As educators we are driven by a united purpose: to maximise the future opportunities of every young person that passes through our doors.
FICS will always be a small school and I value how this ensures that our pupils are known, cared for and challenged to succeed. We will always value the partnerships with our families and recognise the critical value of the home school partnership in ensuring the success of every child.
I am committed to ensuring that FICS continues its journey of improvement in 2023 and I'm excited by the potential our community has to grow. During 2023 we will continue to improve our curriculum, whole school literacy development, staff development and assessment/monitoring of pupils. I hope that as the year progresses I will continue to have the opportunity to share more of our successes and future plans.
